Like “personal injury,” this is a broad term that includes several types of cases: medical practice, insurance agent malpractice, and even legal malpractice. In its most basic form, professional malpractice means that someone in whom you place your trust has violated that trust by falling below a certain standard of care specific to their profession. They either did something other professionals in their filed should not have done OR they failed to do something that other professionals in their filed should have done.
